Next Entry is a trading journal for the phone. It is in free beta on iPhone and Android.

What it does

  • A checklist before every entry, so the plan gets checked before the trade, not after.
  • Trades logged and closed in R, the risk unit traders use to compare trades fairly.
  • Guardrails after losses, prompting a pause and a fresh look at the chart.
  • Stats and calendars, by day, week and month, plus a Playbook of the trader’s own setups.

A demo that runs the real app

The demo is the actual app, exported to the web from the same codebase. It opens with three months of sample data and a short “Show me around” tour. There is no account to create, and nothing leaves your browser.

  • Expo (SDK 57) with Expo Router, React Native and TypeScript
  • SQLite on the phone, with zustand for state
  • Over-the-air updates through EAS
  • A static marketing site on Cloudflare at nextentry.app
